The korean automaker brought out the Santa Fe SUV in 2001 and after twelve years on the market, it will be ready for its third generation. The Santa Fe is one of the best sold SUVs in markets like Europe or USA, and if Hyundai wants to keep it that way, they need to come up with significant improvements for their 2013 model.

The current model is offered with two petrol engines, a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with 174 hp and 3.5 V6 with 276 hp, and in Europe and South Korea, Hyundai offer the CRDi diesel “R-Engine” with 197 hp. For the new model, Hyundai will offer more power in out of a couple of four cylinder engines, like the gasoline direct injection turbocharged (T-GDi) 2.0 engine, delivering 274 hp, or the new CRDi diesel Euro 6 R-2.0 engine, with 150 hp.
