On Tuesday we shared with you the first sketches and a video as a preview of the next-generation Hyundai Tucson, and it looks like it will replace the ix35 in Europe. This new SUV will be the first Hyundai model designed under Peter Schreyer’ pencil.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]Until now, Hyundai were using an “i” denomination for its european models, together with numbers to put in order its range of models.

The i20, i30 or the current ix35 models are an example. But according to our sources, Hyundai (and maybe Peter Schreyer asked for) its going to use only one denomination around the world. So finally, the new model will be called as Tucson.

Commenting on the All-New Tucson, Peter Schreyer, President and Chief Design Officer of Hyundai Motor Group, said: “Our new compact SUV will be a big step forward for the Hyundai brand globally. The All-New ix35 has a bold and athletic presence and a proud stance. Its design is characterised by flowing surfaces, bold proportions, sharp lines and most important our brand signature hexagonal grille.”

The strong, sporty SUV appearance is enhanced by the upright silhouette and sleek character line. At the front, Hyundai’s distinctive chrome-framed hexagonal grille is connected to the headlamp clusters creating a powerful impression.

Did not work? Will extend Hyundai this change for its European denomination? The production version of the All-New Hyundai Tucson will be showcased at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show held in March, 3. Stay tuned for more info about the new Hyundai Tucson!
