Kia Motors recently launched an updated 2016 Sorento at the South Korean local market. And you will ask yourself, what changes offer? Hit the jump and find out more.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]The bigger aesthetic changes on the 2016 Sorento are these ice-cubed LED daytime running lights that are turning into Kia’s favourite solution. Other and more important changes offers greater safety in its high-strength steel frame.

Other safety features include airbags that inflate depending on a passenger’s weight as well as smart cruise control that automatically maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, stops the vehicle and recovering speed at the same time than the car ahead.

Despite the upgraded safety features, prices in South Korea are the same as last year. The 2.0-liter CRDi diesel model sells for W27.65 million to W33.20 million, while the 2.2-liter CRDi diesel is priced from W30.30 million to W33.65 million (US$1=W1,168).

The 2016 Sorento came in one year after Kia Motors released the new Sorento in August 2014, is expected that this changes will include stepwise for overseas markets (the US-spec SXL model already has the ice-cubed LED)

A Kia Motors official said, “The 2016 model contains all of the specs used for the previous model, thereby generating a price reduction effect.”
