[ads id=”4″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]The i30 was designed and engineered at the Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany and was launched also in South Korea and U.S.

Now we got more details about the facelifted model, the latest information we received confirmed that the refreshed i30 will include the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission to achieve better fuel efficiency.

Looking at the spy shots, we can saw a new front grille inspirated by the latest model, like the Genesis, with an hexagonal chromed grille.

Updated bumpers with new fog lights design and new alloy wheels design will complete the exterior upgrades. Inside the mule showed the same interior, while is expected to receive some changes too.

Depending on the market, the i30 is available with up to three petrol engines (1.4, 1.6 GDi and 1.8 MPi with 100, 135 and 148 hp) and two diesel CRDi engines (1.4 with 90 hp and 1.6 with 110 and 128 hp).

Also with this facelift, Hyundai will add for first time the small turbocharged GDi 1.0-liter three cylinder engine delivering 120 hp.

Why not pair the 7 speed to the turbo in the Sonata? I read somewhere that the Sonata Eco does 0-60 in 6.7 seconds versus the 2.0t’s 8.3 seconds. Seems like it makes quite a difference considering the Eco has less power too. I could be wrong though.
