Updated with more pictures! As you know, a few days ago we were at Hyundai’s Driving Experience event held at Bilster Berg Circuit, in Germany. Despite we can only see the car under camouflage, we have known a lot of new details of small hot hatch from N sub-brand and today we can see the latest spy pictures, thanks to SB-Medien, where i20N loses camouflage as well as added some production parts like wheels, rear difuser, exhaust and much more.

What we know so far?

The VIP event was a two-day event held at Bilster Berg circuit in Germany, and included i30 N full guided racetrack driving lessons, but it also was kind of a Clinic event, as they showed a camouflaged Hyundai i20 N (and ask some questions about it) alongside i20 WRC and Veloster E-TCR (both are on the pics but not the i20N), but it was not possible to take photos as they removed phones before entering the room.

The car was still under camouflage but they talked a lot about all the new Hyundai i20 N Performance model will have. Martin said the seats are very close to what we have seen on the i30 N Project C, but without the carbon fiber.

The powertrain is 1.6 Turbo, and will be available with 6-speed manual transmission as well as DCT. This DCT should be 7-speed not 8 speed as they said is not the same as Veloster N DCT.

Also at the event they talked about that the IMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission) recently released by Hyundai Motor Group in some models as Venue for the Indian market could come to the N Performance class.

They said “since you have a Automatic Manual gearbox could be great opportunities in cases for launch Control and stuff like the N-Grin of Veloster DCT”. They added that DCT from the Veloster has a cooldown on the Grin Performance Mode boost, that is good news compared to the current i30 N launch control.
