If you can’t wait until March 24 to watch the official Launch Event of the All-New Hyundai Sonata (codenamed LF), here you can see new pictures completely undisguised, this time at Hyundai’s plant.
[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:5px;”]In new spy photos the 2015 Sonata shows off the complete front end, with the new front headlights, new grille and fog lamps. The Sonata LF shows also a side view and two colour comparison. In the other model with cammo, spy photographers said that it was a 2.0 T-GDi 274 hp variant including the first time seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission DCT (debut at the Geneva Motor Show few days ago).
There are only a few days for the official debut and you can follow it from here! Hyundai Sonata LF Launch Event
Until that, what do you think about these new spy shots and Sonata’s design?

Has the rear end not been finalized or is it something so ground breaking it cannot be pictured. I understand Hyundai not revealing the entire car in the mockup but with these leaks no legitimate rear end shots? Come on!
Hyundai has “early” presentation of the car before the official release. In those presentations, people can actually see and sit in the cars, but aren’t able to use any technology that could leak the vehicle (like what happened with the Genesis. Someone sneaked in a camera and was able to leak the car a week earlier before launch).
The people over at LFSonataClub (Korean) said that the rear taillights look very nice, even more prettier than those of the Mistra.
Disappointing… Looks like a hatchback… Smiling-Mouth grille, again… Headlights are almost side-mounted…Extreme windshield rake: no need for a sunroof…Hyundai must have hired ex-Honda Civic designers.
You deduced all of that based off low quality spy shots? The trunk is open hence, the hatchback look. Have a look at the previous generation Sonata, and you’ll see the rear end was quite short also, in fact it probably sported near identical dimensions given the evolutionary nature of the redesign. To each their own, but just saying.
Saweet!!!! This will sell like hotcakes. 7 speed dct and 269 torque. Yup.
Could someone confirm if this LF sonata is considered a facelift or a model refresh?
Well, according to Hyundai, this is a new generation model (the 7th, codenamed LF, currently Sonata is 6th and codenamed YF)
It’s an evolutionary model refresh. All new interior, extensive exterior tweaks. New power-train components. This will be your next generation Sonata.
