Thanks again to our friend and follower Jimbo, today we can share with you the first official pictures of the interior of the 2016 Kia Sportage who was leaked in a South Korean Magazine.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]Looking at the 2016 Kia Sportage interior, the steering wheel we notice is identical to the All-New Optima. All the steering wheel buttons remain the same such as the start and end call, volumen up and down, options, and at the other side the cruise control as well at the proximity sensor which is now becoming common to all cars.

The dashboard design in the 2016 Sportage is very similar to the latest Sorento & Sedona (the air vents looks closer to the Sorento, but at this time the screen hasn’t hover efect, and are inserted into the dashboard like in the Sedona), while the dashboard had a 7″ inch touchscreen. Under camouflage we can see a line that crosses all the interior and downs into like a handgrip, could be covered by leather.

As we knew, Kia will reveal the fourth generation Sportage in September, while the engine line-up, 7-speed dual clutch transmission will be available at launch besides a choice of gasoline direct injection and diesel engines, plus small turbo engines. In the diesel side, improved 1.7 CRDi 131 hp could be the most desired into European market. About the petrol engines, the 1.6 GDi will be the base engine, while a turbo variant will offer 185 hp for European spec model. About an all-new small turbo engine, the 1.2 T-GDi delivering 132 hp is not confirmed yet.

South Korea line-up will be reduced to 1.7 CRDi available with 7-speed DCT & 2.0 CRDi diesel engines, plus a 2.0 T-GDi engine.

Stay tuned for more details soon! 😉
