2016 kia sportage base version (3)

After the debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show and looked at a lot of pictures of the 2016 Kia Sportage in GT-line and top of the range models, now its time to take a look into the more normal versions, which will be the best sellers.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]From South Korea, we received a set of pictures including the interior of a white Kia Sportage on a basic range, this means, no LED lights, indicators on the wheel arch, no Navigation System, less buttons inside, air conditioning instead of climate control, manual transmission, etc…

What do you think about this base range Kia Sportage?

The Kia Sportage will be offered in Europe with petrol (1.6 GDi 135 hp and 1.6 T-GDi 177 hp) and diesel CRDi engines (1.7 115 hp, 2.0 136 hp and 184 hp) while in South Korea, Kia decided to use a 2.4 GDi 185 hp engine as the most powerful petrol engine and the same diesel range as in Europe. No T-GDi models for the moment in South Korea and nothing confirmed for North America.

Also in Europe could be choosed with a GT-Line variant and available with 1.6 T-GDi and 2.0-liter diesel engines, with an enhanced sporty look (this feature is also available in South Korea as “Style UP pack”).

Kia has included the latest technologies like Blind Spot Detection, an automatic city brake system, speed limit information between others, like the use of more than 50% of high strenght steel on the chassis. Also will offer another convenience features such as Smart Trunk or Wireless Charging system for smartphones.
