After Kia revealed a facelift for the second generation cee’d, we received this set of spy shots where we can see the Kia Forte facelift.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]At first, Kia never confirmed this, but if you take a look to the Forte and the cee’d have a few extensive parts in common, like the exterior mirrors, steering wheel, probably the chassis, and Kia also sold the Forte in North American as a “European design” or in South Korea as “K3 Euro”.

Now, with the recent cee’d facelift, Kia are using more parts in common, like the 17″ inch alloy wheels from the Forte Sedan SX in the cee’d GT Line, and the Forte Koup & 5 SX alloy wheels in the ceed GT sporty model. So, I think there are some many proof to say that the Forte is just an american cee’d, or the cee’d is just an european Forte, just without a few aesthetic changes to like on both sides of the Atlantic.

About the Kia Forte facelift, is expected to have a new front bumper with bigger air intakes as well as new rear bumper or new LED graphics for the tailights. Inside we will find a higher wuality interior, with new infotainment systems as well as the latest safety innovations such as LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System), ASCC (Advanced Smart Cruise Control), BSD (Blind Spot Detection).

Engine line-up will suffer an improvent in terms of fuel efficiency as well as Kia probably include the 1.6 Turbo GDi 180 hp matched with the in-house 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

The question is, what are doing this car in Europe? Will Kia launch it to complete the Kia cee’d range?
