Hyundai Staria

Hyundai Motor Company unveiled a week ago the first official images of STARIA, the brand’s new multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) lineup. Now we have new real-world pictures of exterior and interior as well as full details of range, trim and powertrain for South Korea courtesy of our colleagues at AutoPost.

The STARIA was first teased two weeks ago, then Hyundai release official pictures and not that much details. But now we have all of it. The first is about the powertrain, in South Korea, the Staria Lounge (which is the premium one, will have a 2.2 Diesel with 200 hp or a 3.5 gasoline LPG engine (this gives 240 hp in the All-New K8).

The seat combination for STARIA Lounge will be 7 or 9 seats. The 7 seat will be offered exclusively with the Inspiration trim, while the 9-seat could be chosen with Prestige or Inspiration. For the regular MPV, it will be divided in two, the Cargo (that will have 3 or 5-seater configuration). Then the passenger version of the Staria will have up to eleven seats. The regular MPV will be available in two trims, Smart or Modern.

The Lounge model also has several differences compared to the regular model, like the 8 ice cubes Full-LED headlights system, long and horizontal daytime running light or the bronze details. At the back, there are different taillights, with full LED Ioniq’s inspired Pixel design.

But there’s more, the Lounge model, which will be available in select markets, takes mobility to the next level, sporting premium features and variant-exclusive finishes for a more luxurious look and feel.

This model comes with a pair of 10,25 inch screens for the Infotainment system and digital cluster (the digital cluster has 3 display modes, ECO, Confort and Sport) as standard, LED ambient lights, two-sunroofs or shift by wire technology instead of a gear knob connected to the transmission.

Lounge model will also have Digital Key, Bose Audio System, Blind Spot View Monitor, same features as models like Grandeur or K8. The Staria Lounge has a 7 exterior color palette while the interior has 4-color leather combinations.
