GV60 electric crossover

Genesis’ second EV is around the corner. As we have advanced, the Genesis GV60 electric crossover is set to debut during June. A new video arrived from South Korea with new details recently discovered, the first are in the picture above, with a rare door pull and a mysterious button found outside, in the B-Pillar.

Genesis unveiled its first electric vehicle, the G80 electrification model, at the Shanghai International Motor Show, followed by an electric vehicle (project name JW) based on E-GMP, an electric vehicle exclusive platform, and a derivative electric vehicle next year (eGV70), respectively, in the second half of this year.

Genesis first dedicated EV will be produced based on the same platform as the IONIQ 5 but the basic performance of the EVs is strengthened compared to this by improving motor performance and battery capacity.

Codenamed as JW, the Genesis version is the one spotted on these photos and is going to be first dedicated Genesis electric vehicle. The Genesis JW EV is a crossover SUV that will reach the showrooms during the second half of 2021.

The Youtuber found a mysterious button on the B-pillar (driver’s side)

The Genesis GV60 electric crossover is currently being developed with a focus on the reinterpretation of luxury EVs, and it is expected that innovative UX (user experience) will be implemented (you can see a glimpse in the picture above), such as applying the latest function upgrades through enhanced connectivity services and new biometric technologies that enable communication with the driver.

Hyundai Motors explained, “The Genesis exclusive EV will be positioned as an electric vehicle with a higher level of performance and sensibility compared to the Ioniq 5” “Genesis will be transformed into a top-tier EV brand.” they added.

As we can see the Genesis features such as the split dual-design head lights and rear lights are also coming with this EV model that seems to be aiming for the compact electric crossovers such as the Audi Q4 e-tron, the BMW iX1 but also the Tesla 3/Y and Polestar 2.
