Hyundai Motor Company and Toyota Motor Korea officially hosted the Hyundai N x Toyota GR Gymkhana Day at Inje Speedium in Gangwon Province. The joint track event brought together performance car enthusiasts to celebrate motorsport culture, precise driving dynamics, and friendly competition between two leading high-performance badges: Hyundai N and Toyota Gazoo Racing (GR).
The event marks the latest collaboration between the two automakers following their joint "Hyundai N x Toyota GR Festival" held at Everland Speedway in Yongin in October 2024. Approximately 80 participants attended the gathering, including 40 enthusiast owners—20 representing Hyundai N and 20 representing Toyota GR.
Precision Driving: Individual and Mixed Team Gymkhana Challenges
The highlight of the event took place on the tarmac, where owners navigated their vehicles through technical Gymkhana courses. Gymkhana tests driver skill, vehicle agility, acceleration, braking, and tight cornering as competitors maneuver through obstacle courses marked by cones to set the fastest time.
Morning Session: Drivers competed in an individual time-trial format to establish baseline times and test personal handling limits.
Afternoon Session: Fostering community over strict rivalry, participants formed four-member squads comprising two Hyundai N owners and two Toyota GR owners. Teams competed in a relay-style group challenge, focusing on camaraderie, driving precision, and collective strategy.

Cross-Drive Experience: Swapping Keys Across Brand Lines
A dedicated Cross-Drive Program allowed owners to experience high-performance engineering from the opposing brand:
Hyundai N drivers took the wheel of pure sports coupes like the Toyota GR86 and the flagship Toyota GR Supra.
Toyota GR drivers piloted cutting-edge, high-performance electric vehicles (EVs), including the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N.
This hands-on exchange provided drivers with direct comparisons of contrasting performance philosophies—from lightweight, rear-wheel-drive internal combustion dynamics to instant-torque, high-performance electric powertrains.
Taxi Rides and Community Building
For non-competing guests and attendees, professional instructors ran high-speed "taxi ride" sessions, demonstrating competitive gymkhana lines and vehicle dynamics from the passenger seat. The day concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the top-performing mixed teams, highlighting sportsmanship and shared automotive passion.
"We are delighted to provide a collaborative platform where Hyundai N and Toyota GR move beyond rivalry to unite through a shared passion for driving," said Joonwoo Park, Vice President of the N Brand Management Division at Hyundai Motor Company. "We plan to continue creating meaningful opportunities for both brands and our enthusiast communities to connect, drive, and enjoy motorsport culture together."
