Kia is officially broadening its European C-segment electrified portfolio with the introduction of the new Kia K4 Hybrid. Available in both Hatchback and Sportswagon body styles, the new full-hybrid variant pairs the model's sharp styling and generous cabin volume with enhanced fuel efficiency. Production of the K4 Hybrid is scheduled to begin on 15 October 2026.

Following its initial European debut in September 2025, the K4 family gains a crucial electrified option to rival compact segment stalwarts, providing an alternative for drivers looking to cut emissions without relying on plug-in charging.

Kia K4 Full Hybrid Powertrain Details

The K4 Hybrid features a dedicated 1.6-litre GDI petrol engine combined with an electric motor and a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (6DCT). The system produces a combined output of 154 PS, balancing responsiveness with low fuel consumption.

With this addition, the European Kia K4 engine range offers a complete spectrum of ICE and electrified powertrains:

• 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol: 115 PS

• 1.0-litre T-GDI 48V mild-hybrid: 115 PS

• 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol: 150 PS

• 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol: 180 PS
