We just received new information about the upcoming Genesis X Speedium Coupe by Hyundai Motor Group luxury brand with dates, specs and more.
The X Speedium Coupe its a name that Genesis Motors decided to Trademark at Australia. This model is based of the Genesis X Concept led by Luc Donckerwolke which end up been Genesis design language for their upcoming models.
The Genesis X Speedium was revealed at the Genesis House New York, a cultural space in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. This model still a work in progress and it’ll be a while we see one on the road the goal date for this development are set for late 2023 or early 2024.
Genesis is moving forward with its plan to EV all models by 2030 with a total of six models and this coupe is no exception. The Genesis X Speedium will be developed 100% BEV with a complete new platform dedicated to Genesis EV models.
The configurations for the X Speedium will be a Tri-motor with single Front Engine front wheel drive (FF) and dual Front engine rear wheel drive (FR) with 100kw high-capacity battery. Additionally we were told we might see a two-speed transmission just like the Porsche Taycan.
This will be a 800 horsepower or more, drive by a high-performance motor over 20,000 rpm and it’ll go 0 to 100 within 2 seconds, seeking for top speeds of 330 km/h or more and to reduced its body weight this could have a two-seater sport coupe.
Currently the price still not determined but its expected to be near 100 million won or near 80 thousand US dollars.
