The render was spot on. The closest rendering to production speculation I’ve ever seen.
Front end comparison with Camry. I hate this sporty bumper. The one in spy photos and concept drawings look significantly better.

Rear end looks sharp and elegant.
Kia did the “kinked” headlamps prior with the Forte.
A bit underwhelmed by the new Optima, esp. up front.
Hope there is a a different, more Sportspace-type front for the SX trim.
Old Forte, though. Not the current generation.
The published photos are most likely US exclusive sport trims. I really don’t understand the obsession Americans have with chrome. Chrome wheels, air vents, wing mirrors, chrome everything. Might be a nostalgic thing (50’s and 60’s Cadillacs, maybe?).
New undisguised spy shots show a completely different front bumper that is almost exactly the same as the concept drawing and old camouflaged spy shots. It looks infinitely more elegant and sharp compared to this lazy thing. Hopefully, this is the EU trim.
I also noticed something new: The triple LED fog light is the same design as the upcoming Sportage’s high beam bulb. http://i.imgur.com/5y4ZTPt.jpg
VERY similar to Samurai Kamon designs. This one in particular: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tokugawa_family_crest.svg It can’t be a coincidence. I think it’s a new design signature for KIA.
Does anyone know if Koreans have similar emblems in their culture? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mon_%28emblem%29
Oh, I did not saw this thing on the Sportage, thanks for the tip!
