All-New Hyundai Palisade Nears 300,000 Global Sales Milestone Driven by Strong Hybrid Demand

Hyundai Palisade

Hyundai Motor Company’s flagship large SUV, The All-New Palisade, is poised to cross the 300,000 cumulative global sales mark within just 20 months of its market launch. The dramatic sales momentum of the redesigned, second-generation SUV has been fueled largely by the debut of its hybrid powertrain, which now accounts for the majority of the vehicle's volume.

Record Sales Pace Outperforms First Generation

According to official figures released by Hyundai Motor Company on the 27th, the second-generation Palisade recorded 281,920 cumulative sales worldwide from its launch in January of last year through last month.

With monthly global deliveries consistently averaging roughly 15,000 units this year, the nameplate is projected to surpass the 300,000-unit threshold as early as this month or next month at the latest.

This timeline marks a significant acceleration compared to the original model:

  • First-Generation Palisade (Launched Dec 2018): Required approximately 28 months (two years and four months) to reach the 300,000-unit milestone.

  • The All-New Palisade: Set to achieve the same target in roughly 20 months, beating the original timeline by nearly eight months.

Sustained Worldwide Demand for the Redesigned Flagship

The second-generation Palisade represents Hyundai’s first ground-up redesign of the SUV in six years. Consumer interest has remained elevated across international markets throughout the year, logging 18,000 global deliveries in January and reaching a peak of 20,330 units in June.

A steady monthly delivery rate of roughly 15,000 vehicles highlights enduring global appetite for the expanded three-row platform.

Hybrid Powertrain Commands Over 70% of Domestic Sales

The addition of an electrified option to the second-generation lineup has fundamentally shifted the model's sales dynamic. Hybrid variants are leading overall volume growth, making up more than half of all Palisades delivered globally this year.

In the domestic market, customer preference for electrification is particularly decisive:

  • Total Domestic Volume (Jan–Aug): 24,024 units delivered

  • Hybrid Share: 17,332 units, representing 72.1% of total domestic sales

  • Sales Ratio: Hybrid deliveries outpaced standard gasoline variants by approximately 2.6 to 1

The heavy adoption of the hybrid variant highlights a clear consumer pivot toward high-efficiency family transportation, reinforcing The All-New Palisade's position as a dominant volume leader in the large SUV segment.
