¡Aquí está, amigos! El Genesis New York Concept, el modelo conceptual del que Hyundai nos habló en la presentación del Elantra. Se trata de un sedán deportivo de cuatro puertas que se parecerá al futuro G70.
Todos estamos ansiosos por saber cómo será el G70 y si será un verdadero deportivo, también si veremos una versión coupé de este modelo que sustituya al Genesis Coupé, o simplemente un modelo nuevo para la nueva marca Genesis. Con suerte, de este New York Concept saldrá un nuevo coupé. Se dice que este próximo modelo competirá con el BMW Serie 3.
Manfred Fitzgerald, director de la marca Genesis, añadió: «El New York Concept es un concept car progresista que muestra la calidad de diseño de la marca. Con sus volúmenes expresivos y su refinado diseño, el New York Concept encarna realmente la elegancia atlética que caracteriza a los productos Genesis».
Este será el tercer modelo de la marca Genesis, tras el G90 y el G80, antes conocidos como Equus y Genesis sedán. Hyundai también tiene dos crossover más para unirse a la marca, además de un modelo coupé, el que todos esperan.
Genesis retirará la lona en el Salón del Automóvil de Nueva York a partir del 23 de marzo, así que estaremos atentos a este nuevo modelo.

If the rest of it looks good and Genesis can bring the production version close to the concept's front end - will be be the best looking compact sports sedan.
I'm more interested in whatever mechanical specs this model will have than the styling, which--as we can already see--will likely be attractive, but unremarkable and unoriginal. I'm assuming it'll have a 2.0t I4 engine, but the one in the current Hyundai/Kia lineup seems consistently to fall quite short in terms of performance. Will it have a tuned version of the naturally-aspirated 3.3L V6, a down-rated version of the 3.3L V6 twin-turbo, or will it have the 3.8L V6? Will there be an N version, with the 480hp version of the 3.3L V6 twin-turbo?
So a $50k Lagonda Taraf? Cool lol.
I'm speaking in terms of Canadian pricing. Loaded up, I'd expect no less considering the Sonata here touches $40k after taxes. As for not looking like the Lagonda Taraf, quit kidding yourself.
To clarify, I have no issue with it looking like the Taraf.
