Otra imagen del próximo Hyundai Elantra Sport aparece en internet con un camuflaje diferente, solo con vinilo para ocultar la forma del coche, y se revelan nuevos detalles.
Hyundai Motor y Kia Motors están ampliando gradualmente sus gamas con motores turbo. En comparación con los motores de aspiración natural, los turbo pueden generar más potencia al forzar la entrada de aire en el motor.
Según fuentes del sector del 10 de abril, Hyundai Motor planea lanzar una versión de alto rendimiento del Avante (nombre en Corea del Sur) a finales de este mes. El modelo montará un motor gasolina 1.6 litros Turbo-GDi.
En combinación con un cambio DCT de doble embrague y siete velocidades, se cree que el Elantra Sport alcanza una potencia máxima de 200 CV y un par máximo de 27,0 kg·m.
El Elantra Sport incluirá un kit de carrocería, parachoques delantero y trasero más agresivos, nuevos LED de luz diurna, llantas de aleación exclusivas de 18 pulgadas, asientos deportivos con tapicería bitono y una salida de escape doble.

That would be a wild disappointment since the Veloster has had this combo for years already and the Kia Forte has also had the 1.6T for several years. 200hp isn't much "sport" these days when the Focus ST has over 250. If it's already a struggle to justify a $26k 200hp Veloster vs a Focus ST, how's a 200hp Elantra Sport going to make any sense? It needs the 2.0T at least. I thought the Hyundai N division was bringing the heat, not just the warmth.
This is just the Sport trim and not an N-division performance line.
This is just to spicy things up on the sedan model but has nothing to do with the N Performance.
This is stupid, if I purchase a fully loaded Elantra they best give me the best of everything the have.

We heard it'll come with rear independent suspension, if thats the case for sure it's an improvement for what will come next.
I was talking in reference to the 1.6T that the sport will have couple with the DCT. The current Elantra Limited makes around 148hp. There's no reason for that not to be the main power plant on the limited.
Good point with that! And i know for canada Hyundai is not planning at all to bring the 1.4TGDI ECO version in high end models and i have big doubt for the sport version 1.6 T Gdi to come in Canada.
