Kia has officially released the first teaser images and video of The Kia PV7, marking the second dedicated vehicle in its rapidly growing Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup.

The preview highlights a bold, modular large electric vehicle tailored to seamlessly bridge commercial logistics, fleet operations, and flexible lifestyle transit.

Built on E-GMP.S: Scaling Up Dedicated Electric Commercial Vehicles

The new PV7 is engineered on E-GMP.S (Electric-Global Modular Platform for Service), Kia’s dedicated modular architecture designed specifically for service-oriented and commercial electric mobility.

Following the successful rollout of the mid-size PV5, the PV7 extends Kia's electrified footprint into the large-size commercial van and shuttle segment. The architecture maximizes floor flatness, wheel-to-wheel wheelbase efficiency, and modular interior packaging, allowing businesses and private fleet operators to adapt the interior layout to their exact operational requirements.

Striking One-Box Silhouette & Signature PBV Styling

The teaser assets reveal a purposeful, contemporary design language defined by:

  • Confident One-Box Proportion: Clean, upright side profiles engineered to maximize usable cargo volume and passenger headroom.

  • Two-Tone Contrast Aesthetics: A black-accented hood and pillar garnish treatments contrasting against the primary exterior sheet metal.

  • Signature Lighting Architecture: Cohesive front and rear Star-map lighting graphics establishing Kia’s distinctive commercial EV identity.

  • Versatile Duty Focus: Form factors sculpted for heavy-duty professional task fields, fleet logistics, shuttle operations, and outdoor leisure conversions.

World Premiere Scheduled for IAA Transportation 2026

Kia has confirmed that the PV7 will celebrate its official global public debut at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for logistics, commercial vehicles, and the transport sector, held in Hanover, Germany:

  • Venue: Exhibition Grounds, Hanover, Germany

  • Dates: September 14 – September 20, 2026

  • Press Day: Monday, September 14, 2026

  • Public Days: Tuesday, September 15 – Sunday, September 20, 2026

During the event, Kia will outline its comprehensive mid-to-long-term PBV business roadmap and present several derivative conversions of the smaller PV5, highlighting modular body swap possibilities, software-defined fleet solutions, and customer-specific cargo ecosystems.

Building on the Global Momentum of the Award-Winning PV5

The arrival of the PV7 follows outstanding commercial and critical success for its sibling model, the PV5:

  • IVOTY Accolade: In November 2025 at SOLUTRANS in Lyon, France, the PV5 earned the prestigious 2026 International Van of the Year (IVOTY) award—making Kia the first Korean automotive manufacturer ever to claim this global title.

  • Strong Sales Footprint: As of August 2026, global sales of the PV5 have surpassed 39,000 units, illustrating strong global demand for purpose-built electric commercial platforms.

With the upcoming debut of the PV7, Kia is positioned to solidify its market leadership in the electrified commercial and purpose-built mobility sector.
