During the practice/qualifying race, Kia Racing made its presence known by the Kinetic Motorsports Wright Automotive Group Forte Koup clocking a 2:33.640 making it the second fastest TCA lap driven by Kris Wright. This was a sure sign of good things to come for Kia Racing, and an ominous warning to competitors that they should not be underestimated.
