All-New Hyundai BAYON & BAYON N Line Unveiled at Paris Motor Show

hyundai bayon

Hyundai Motor Europe has officially introduced the all-new Hyundai BAYON, presenting a major evolution for the compact crossover segment. Far beyond a cosmetic mid-cycle update, the latest iteration adopts a more assertive SUV stance, higher-segment interior comfort, advanced digital connectivity, and a planned hybrid powertrain for 2027. Manufactured at the Hyundai Motor Türkiye (HMTR) plant for European drivers, the compact crossover delivers big-car luxury within city-friendly dimensions.

Bold Exterior Presence and the Sport-Inspired N Line

The all-new BAYON applies an angular interpretation of Hyundai’s "Art of Steel" design language, pairing an upright posture with increased ground clearance. Key design elements include:

  • Distinctive Lighting: A full-width horizontal lighting signature across the front paired with projection LED headlamps featuring Static Bending Lights.

  • Rugged Styling: Defined crease lines, prominent body volumes, rugged front and rear skid plates, contrasting wheel arch cladding, and blacked-out A- and D-pillars.

  • Segment-Exclusive Finishes: Available with alloy wheels up to 18 inches and an optional two-tone black roof. It stands out as the only model in its class to offer factory matte paint options, including Vibrant Blue Matte, Ice Blue Matte, and Fierce Red Matte.

BAYON N Line Trim

For drivers seeking a motorsport-inspired aesthetic, the N Line variant adds:

  • Technical mesh grille pattern and bespoke lower-bumper winglets.

  • High-gloss black protective cladding and a rear diffuser framing twin exhaust outlets.

  • Dedicated 18-inch N Line alloy wheels.

  • Sport interior appointments featuring textile suede and cloth sport seats with red contrast stitching.

Cabin Space and Up-Segment Passenger Comfort

Despite agile outer dimensions, the all-new BAYON leverages a 2,600 mm wheelbase to achieve best-in-class rear legroom alongside class-leading front and rear headroom and shoulder room.

  • Cargo Capacity: Internal-combustion models feature 440 litres of trunk space (397 litres for the HEV), complete with underfloor storage and a stowable parcel shelf.

  • Front Seating: Available with heated and ventilated front seats, electric driver lumbar adjustment, and dual-zone climate control.

  • Enhanced Rear Comfort: Rear occupants gain reclining seatbacks, a folding centre armrest with integrated cupholders, dedicated rear HVAC air ducts, and available heated outboard seats.

  • Interior Atmosphere: An openable panoramic glass sunroof combined with segment-unique dual ambient lighting and soft-touch upholstery creates an airy, refined cabin ambiance.

Next-Gen Cockpit Connectivity and Hyundai SmartSense Safety

The interior integrates flagship-level electronics centered on an available curved panoramic display incorporating two 12.3-inch screens (digital instrument cluster and center infotainment).

Digital and Infotainment Features

  • Hyundai Digital Key 2: Lock, unlock, and drive the car using a compatible Apple, Samsung, or Google smartwatch or smartphone.

  • Wireless Smartphone Integration: Standard cable-free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

  • Built-in In-Car Streaming: The optional Entertainment Package enables video and music streaming (including YouTube) directly on the central 12.3-inch display when parked.

  • Hardware & Audio: Three high-speed USB-C ports (two front, one rear), an inductive wireless phone charger, and an eight-speaker Bose Premium Sound System.

Hyundai SmartSense ADAS Suite

The BAYON incorporates an extensive safety matrix covering urban driving, highway cruising, and tight parking:

  • Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) with Lane Following Assist 2 (LFA 2) and Smart Cruise Control (SCC).
