The Genesis GV90 is the brand's new flagship: a full-size, three-row electric SUV that takes Genesis into Range Rover, Maybach and Bentley territory. It was revealed in August 2026, based on the 2024 Neolun Concept, and it is now on display in Korea ahead of its launch. Here is everything you need to know about the GV90: design, coach doors, specs, range, interior, price and release date.
Genesis GV90 At A Glance
Type: full-size electric SUV with six or seven seats, plus a four-seat Neolun version.
Power: dual motors with 657 hp (490 kW) combined.
Battery: 123.5 kWh gross, about 115 kWh usable.
Range: up to 310 miles according to Genesis's own estimate; 481 km in Korean certification.
Coach doors: B-pillarless doors on the Neolun versions.
Launch: Korea first, then the US in 2027.
Design: From The Neolun Concept To Production
The GV90 keeps the clean, reductive shape of the Neolun Concept, inspired by the traditional Korean moon jar, with Genesis's Two-Line lighting front and rear. Before the reveal, we followed it for months through spy shots, including prototypes with the doors open (pillarless prototype spotted) and with power-retractable running boards in California (coach door spied in California). Hours before its debut, the production model leaked online (GV90 leaked ahead of debut).
Coach Doors Without A B-Pillar
The highlight of the Neolun versions is what Genesis calls the Neolun Arch Gate: front and rear doors that open in opposite directions with no B-pillar between them, creating a huge opening to the cabin. To keep the body stiff, Genesis moved the reinforcements into the doors and added a roll-cage-style structure to the body (GV90 engineering secrets). A leak of the production body-in-white shows this structure in detail (body-in-white leaked).
Specs And Range
Certification documents filed in Korea in August 2026 revealed the GV90's specs (official specs leaked):
Front motor: 240 kW. Rear motor: 250 kW. Combined: 490 kW (657 hp).
Battery: 123.52 kWh gross, about 115 kWh usable, on a roughly 700-volt system.
Curb weight: 3,030 kg (6,680 lb).
Six- and seven-seat versions, with 22- or 24-inch wheels.
Range: 481 km in Korean certification. Genesis estimates up to 310 miles, but this is not an EPA rating.
The GV90 sits on a new dedicated EV platform and is built in a new purpose-built factory in Ulsan, Korea. It also features a dual electronic limited-slip differential setup.
Interior
Spy photos and patents previewed a lounge-style cabin with executive rear seats and rear screens (interior patents). The production cabin has a column-mounted shifter, a crystal sphere controller and an ultra-wide display (cabin revealed, first look inside). Higher trims add rear lounge seats with leg rests, and the Neolun First Edition has four individual seats.
GV90 Neolun First Edition
At the top of the range, the GV90 Neolun First Edition is limited to 200 units worldwide, with coach doors, four seats and exclusive two-tone paint (Neolun First Edition revealed, the three two-tone colors).
Price
Genesis has not announced official prices yet. Reports from Korea suggest the standard GV90 could cost the equivalent of about $105,000 to $115,000 there, higher trims around $125,000 to $138,000, and the Neolun versions more than 200 million won (expected GV90 pricing). US pricing will be announced closer to launch.
Release Date
The GV90 was revealed globally in August 2026. Genesis says it will go on sale in Korea first and then arrive in the US in 2027 (GV90 launch roadmap). Until November 8, 2026, the GV90 is on display at Genesis Suji in Korea (GV90 exhibition).
