Next-Gen Hyundai Elantra N: New Spy Photos Show Big Exhausts and Red Brakes

Next-gen Hyundai Elantra N prototype rear with two large round exhaust outlets

We have a new look at the next-generation Hyundai Elantra N (Avante N in Korea). Fresh spy photos by Motorsjason show the prototype out on the road, still wearing heavy camouflage but revealing a few more details of Hyundai's next performance sedan.

Last month, this car was captured with its production body for the first time on a flatbed transporter. Now we can see it driving on the road.

What The New Photos Show

Most of the car is still hidden, but these details stand out:

  • Rear end: two large round exhausts sit at the outer ends of the bumper, in openings left visible through the camouflage.

  • Rear brakes: a red brake caliper can be seen behind the rear wheel.

  • Wheels: the dark wheels look similar to the ones on the earlier prototype, which uses Hankook Ventus S1 evo Z tires.

  • Front lights: slim daytime running lights are visible through the camouflage.

  • Roof: the car carries a small antenna on the roof, a typical sign of test equipment.

Where Are We With The Elantra N?

The standard eighth-generation Avante debuted at the 2026 Busan Mobility Show, so the N version is the next big step. We have also seen the first look inside the prototype and a rendering by NYMammoth that imagines a largely blacked-out rear end. In Korea, Hyundai is even considering renaming the Avante N to Elantra N.

Our Take

These photos do not reveal the final design, because the camouflage still covers the bumpers and lights. They do show that development is moving along, and the big exhausts make the car's intentions clear. Hyundai has not announced power figures or a launch date, so we will keep following it.
