Heute haben wir die ersten offiziellen Bilder von Kia der Serienversion des KX3 für den chinesischen Automarkt. Das nur in China erhältliche kleine turboaufgeladene SUV wurde vor einem Monat als Konzept auf der Guangzhou Auto Show 2014 enthüllt.
Das Auto zeigt nun eine Zweifarblackierung in Blau und Weiß. Der KX3 hat den gleichen Radstand wie der Hyundai ix25 (2.570 mm). Im Vergleich zum Konzept zeigt die Serienversion ein neues Nebelscheinwerfer-Design.
Dieser Kia Mini-SUV verwendet die gleichen Motoren wie sein Bruder, mit dem einzigen Unterschied, dass er mit einem 1.6 Turbo GDi-Motor erhältlich ist, der 200 PS leistet. Optional kann dieser Motor mit dem neuesten 7-Gang-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (DCT) kombiniert werden.
Wahrscheinlich wird es in naher Zukunft auch eine Familie von Diesel-CRDi-Motoren geben, aus der U2-Motorenfamilie, den 1.4 und 1.6 mit 90 und 110 PS.
Beim Betrachten der Bilder wirkt das Auto wie ein kleiner Sportage, mit ähnlich gestalteten Rückleuchten und Kotflügeln, zeigt aber auch Ähnlichkeiten mit den neuesten Modellen von Citroën (Frontpartie).

Oh, oh oh. I wouldnt tell chinese products a junk. I have so many quality chinese low price products in the house that old getting europeans should get nervous, like some do nowadays. Take Kia as an example: Ten years ago no one in europe took asian KIA serious. Now the european carmakers are full of sweat at night. Ok the front design is maybe chinese taste but as KIA leads the project the rest has to be high quality. Asian products get more and more reliable, but as for cars KIA is my favourite brand except for this china only front.
I don´t thik the front design is bad. It is conceptually agressive just as the Juke was.
I would have integrated the led lights into the headlamps. That would have been great. Maybe an idea for the european model.
After you showed this front from the Cross GT, I didn't realize it even came from this concept. I agree, get rid of the fog lights.
I must admit the front is a little bit strange. The rest is okay.
I didnt want to say that it is ugly. It is just different from the nice current common Kia design. I think the grill has been widen too much with the led lights. Though the front of the red one above is acceptable. I saw pictures of the interior on a german online magazine and i liked it very much and it was told that this car could also come to europe. Ok but please with a little bit changed front if possible.
