Quizá para debutar en el Salón del Automóvil de Detroit de 2012, el nuevo SUV del fabricante coreano, el Santa Fe 2013, fue captado por primera vez en Europa, en el Centro Europeo de Hyundai-Kia en Rüsselsheim, Alemania.
Que probablemente se denominará ix45 en Europa, el nuevo SUV de Hyundai llega para cubrir un hueco en el popular segmento de los crossover medianos con una propuesta moderna, en ambos continentes. De hecho, Hyundai vendía el antiguo Santa Fe y el Veracruz/ix55 en esos mercados.
Aunque con nombres diferentes, el ix45/Santa Fe europeo y norteamericano compartirán el mismo diseño básico con algunas variaciones menores de equipamiento y mecánica. La especificación europea incluye un Santa Fe con un motor de gasolina de 2.0 litros y un diésel de cuatro cilindros, con transmisión manual de seis velocidades o automática. La versión para EE. UU. incluye inicialmente el conocido 2.4 Theta II GDi con 201 caballos, utilizado en muchos modelos del Grupo Hyundai-Kia.
Aunque todavía con un camuflaje pesado, es obvio que la próxima generación del Santa Fe contará con un aspecto moderno fuertemente influenciado por el último Tucson/iX35 y el i40. Lo mismo ocurre con el interior, que presenta un diseño de doble cúpula para el cuadro de instrumentos, una pantalla LCD a color en la radio y el sistema de climatización con una serie de mandos y botones de aspecto más futurista. Los embellecedores plateados son evidentes en todo el habitáculo.

If you go to the picture linked, there is a picture recently snapped by Motor Trend in HKAG's Namyang facility. Parked there is an unfamiliar CUV. Could it be the New Rondo? New Santa Fe? Maybe post it and see what others think.....
New Santa Fe for Europe too? I think that unless Hyundai makes good advertisement and puts good prices it won't be the worth enough to sell it in Europe; but in the other hand, I'm sure that it'll be well sold in USA.

I think that at first, be sold in South Korea and North America, and few months ago in Europe, I would bet first quarter of 2012 in Korea/USA, second quarter in Europe.
It’s expected that the 2013 Santa Fe will make its international debut next month in Frankfurt, but North American models won’t be unveiled until the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
