Ahead of its world premiere on July 10, 2025 at Goodwood Festival of Speed, Hyundai has unveiled the first technical details of the IONIQ 6 N, focusing on advanced handling, driver engagement, and aerodynamics.

Suspension & Handling Dynamics

Capitalizing on its low sedan profile, the IONIQ 6 N features a completely redesigned suspension geometry engineered for superior driver feedback and control:

  • Lowered Roll Center: For enhanced stability and significantly reduced body roll during aggressive cornering.
  • Enlarged Caster Trail: This key adjustment improves steering feedback, on-center feel, and the car’s self-centering behavior.
  • New ECS Dampers: The IONIQ 6 N will debut new Electronically Controlled Stroke sensing (ECS) dampers, promising a refined balance between everyday comfort and precise, track-ready handling response.

Driver Engagement & Performance Systems

The immersive driving experience has been taken to the next level with key software and hardware upgrades:

  • Upgraded N e-shift: The popular simulated gearshift technology is now available in all drive modes and features new motorsport-inspired close gear ratios.
  • N Ambient Shift Light: A new visual system debuts, providing a clear indicator of the precise shift points to help the driver achieve optimal performance.
  • Enhanced N Drift Optimizer: The system now provides a much broader range of customization, allowing drivers to tailor the car’s drift characteristics to their personal skill level.

IONIQ 6 N Aerodynamic & Design Features

Teaser images confirm that the IONIQ 6 N’s design is heavily focused on high-speed stability and aerodynamic efficiency:

  • Wider Stance & Flared Fenders: To accommodate a performance-focused track width and improve mechanical grip.
  • Motorsport-Inspired Swan-Neck Rear Spoiler: A functional aerodynamic element designed for increased downforce and stability.
  • Lightweight Performance Wheels: To reduce unsprung mass, improving handling and suspension response.
