Genesis G90 Facelift Spotted with X Gran Coupe Rear Design!

Fresh prototype images captured by Healer TV offer a first glimpse at the upcoming Genesis G90 facelift, revealing a completely reworked rear styling layout heavily inspired by the X Gran Coupe concept. The spy shots show the flagship luxury sedan wearing a sleeker, more sculptural tail end with ultra-thin, horizontally stretched Two-Line LED taillights that taper seamlessly across the trunk lid. Moving away from the current model’s thicker full-width lighting elements, this update integrates a cleaner bumper, revised lower valance, and a more pronounced integrated ducktail spoiler. By adopting design cues first showcased on the brand's high-end concept studies, the refreshed G90 aims to sharpen its visual footprint and maintain its edge against rival European flagship saloons.

X Gran Coupe-Inspired Taillights and Exterior Design Updates

At least from what we can currently see, the Genesis G90 facelift is expected to adopt a more sculptural and futuristic rear-end design, with taillights that appear slimmer, more horizontally stretched, and more integrated into the bodywork. This approach closely mirrors the lighting philosophy showcased on the X Gran Coupe & X Gran Convertible concepts, which previews the design direction a possible G90 Coupe.

Up front, the updated G90 will receive an illuminated crest grille, potentially wider and more refined, paired with redesigned Two-Line LED headlamps. These changes would align the sedan with Genesis’ latest design evolution, to be premiered by the GV90.

​Hyundai originally aimed for Level 3 capability in 2023 but paused the rollout to ensure the highest safety standards through rigorous repetitive testing. The decision to debut this technology with the G90 facelift highlights Hyundai’s strategy to position Genesis as a direct competitor to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Tesla’s FSD (Supervised), the latter of which currently operates at a Level 2+ capacity in Korea.
