Hyundai Motor America has announced a mid-year expansion to its 2026 Tucson Hybrid lineup, introducing a blackout-themed Night Trim and adding front-wheel-drive (FWD) variants to the entry-level SE and SEL grades. The move aims to broaden the appeal of the compact SUV by offering both a higher-priced appearance package and more affordable entry points.
2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Night AWD
The new Tucson Hybrid Night AWD serves as a styling package built upon the flagship, feature-heavy Limited trim. It enters the market with a starting MSRP of $44,175, which includes a $1,600 destination charge.
Styling Changes
The Night trim focuses strictly on cosmetic modifications to differentiate it from the standard Limited model. The updates include:
Exterior: Gloss-black 19-inch alloy wheels (retaining a silver Hyundai logo), gloss-black front and rear bumper fascia elements, gloss-black side mirror caps, and gloss-black window-surround trim. Color choices are limited to Ash Black, Creamy White Pearl, and Ecotronic Gray.
Interior: A unique black headliner replaces the standard material.

Standard Equipment
Because the Night trim is positioned at the top of the hierarchy, it carries over the standard equipment from the Limited trim. This includes leather-trimmed seats, factory navigation, a 12-inch head-up display, a Bose premium audio system, a heated steering wheel, and wireless smartphone charging.
New FWD SE and SEL Trims Lower Entry Price
In a bid to capture value-oriented buyers and compete more effectively on price, Hyundai is introducing front-wheel-drive versions of the SE and SEL hybrid models.
Previously, the Tucson Hybrid was heavily skewed toward standard all-wheel drive. Removing the AWD mechanical components allows Hyundai to lower the base price of admission for the hybrid variant, while also potentially yielding slight improvements in fuel economy figures for buyers who do not require all-weather traction.
The expanded 2026 Tucson Hybrid lineup is currently arriving at U.S. dealerships. Final pricing for the new FWD SE and SEL variants is expected to be positioned below their AWD counterparts.
