Hyundai N Confirms 7 New Models by 2030, Entry FF, FR, AWD, and New High-Volume Tier

Hyundai’s high-performance N division has outlined an ambitious roadmap to reach 100,000 annual sales by 2030. Moving beyond its initial wave of hot hatches and electric performance pioneers, Hyundai N will launch seven all-new models spanning four dedicated drive and platform configurations.

Four New Segment Architectures

To reach enthusiast drivers globally, Hyundai N is expanding into key chassis layouts:

• Entry Front-Engine, Front-Wheel Drive (FF): Accessible, lightweight hot hatch/compact dynamics designed to lower the barrier to entry for track-capable fun. Probably the all-new i20 N.

• Entry Performance SUV: Combining daily practicality and high-riding utility with full track-honed chassis, cooling, and braking hardware. The return of the Kona N?

One of the biggest strategic revelations from the investor presentation is the creation of a brand-new volume high-performance tier.

While cosmetic N-Line trims drove massive global volume (161,000 units last year) and dedicated N models commanded hardcore enthusiast respect (20,000 units), a significant gap remained between visual styling and full track packages. The new tier sits right in that sweet spot:

• Carry-Over Powertrains & Hardware: Instead of purely cosmetic badges or detuned standard engines, these models will directly utilize proven Hyundai N internal combustion and electric powertrains, uprated electronic limited-slip differentials (e-LSD), high-performance brake packages, and reinforced suspension components.

• Accessible Real-World Performance: By leveraging existing N engineering and high-volume production lines, Hyundai can deliver genuine mechanical performance, sharp steering, and canyon-carving capability at a substantially lower price point than flagship halo models.

• Daily Driving Focus: Tuned specifically for daily usability, refined ride compliance, and road-going engagement without the punishing maintenance or extreme stiffness of dedicated track setups.

Hitting the 100,000 Annual Sales Target

Hyundai Motor has recognized that six-figure electric halo vehicles alone cannot carry the volume needed to hit 100,000 annual deliveries by 2030. By deploying a multi-powertrain strategy spanning internal combustion, hybrid, and full electric systems—alongside the accessible new mid-tier performance cars—Hyundai N is creating an enthusiast ladder that allows drivers to step smoothly from daily sportiness to full track performance.
