What we know so far?
The upcoming seventh-generation Elantra showcases an edgy and aggressive look based on parametric shapes and textures, which reflects Hyundai’s new design identity. The world premiere press conference will take place at 7 p.m. PT on Mar. 17, at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, Calif. and will be livestreamed around the world.
The all-new 2021 Elantra’s design accentuates its progressive and exotic character through Parametric Dynamics. Cutting edge engineering solutions and design innovations actualized the polyhedral appearance. Essentially, advanced digital design technology brought the Parametric Dynamics design language to life.
Having three lines meet at one point is the main element of Parametric Dynamics. This formation is a daring challenge, which has been avoided in car design, marking Elantra’s disrupter-spirit.
The ‘Immersive Cocoon’ interior layout creates a driver-focused user experience. Low and wide structures go from the door and connect all the way to the center console, while the large interface consisting of two harmoniously integrated displays elevates the racing-inspired feel of the car.
Sedan market in South Korea were shrinking relatively as global interest in SUV were increasing. As a result, automakers are seeing an atmosphere that significantly improves the performance of sedan models. Sedan are still superior compared with a SUV in terms of cheaper price, better driving performance and sleek design.
The new Avante is a full-change model, and hybrid models will be introduced thanks to the use of Hyundai’s 3rd generation platform. In particular, the new Avante improves design and driving performance by applying a new lower center of gravity platform. The front grille and headlamps are positioned low to emphasize sportyness.
It also improves proportions by raising the body and lowering the height. The battlefield extends from the current 4620mm to the 4655mm of Kia K3. The Avante’s interior inherits the features of the Sonata, including an digital instrument cluster, a large-screen infotainment monitor, dual air conditioning, and a slim air vent.
The powertrain will also be improved with the addition of the SmartStream 1.6 Turbo, a new SmartStream 1.2 Turbo, Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Electric Vehicles, based on the SmartStream 1.6 gasoline and continuously variable transmissions, which were introduced through a change of the Avante. With the introduction of the N model, the proportion of hybrids will increase to 40%.
