Kürzlich hatten wir die Gelegenheit, die zweite Generation des europäischen C-Segment-Kompakten von Hyundai, den i30, zu testen. Bisher hat Hyundai jedoch nur den i30 5-Türer und den i30 Kombi auf den Markt gebracht, während der sportlichere 3-Türer noch unter Verschluss gehalten wird.
Mitglieder des koreanischen Hyundai i30-Fanclubs haben kürzlich einen Prototyp des 3-Türers während seiner finalen Vorserien-Testphase erwischt. Bei genauerem Hinsehen auf den Erlkönigfotos scheint es, dass Hyundai dem i30 3-Türer eine eigenständige Identität verliehen hat, was zu einem aggressiveren Exterieur-Design führte.
Laut Hyundai Europe-Chef Allan Rushforth erwägt der koreanische Hersteller eine heiße Variante mit dem 1,6-Liter-Turbobenziner mit Direkteinspritzung (T-GDi), der auch im Veloster Turbo (der ebenfalls nach Europa kommt) zum Einsatz kommt und rund 180-190 PS leistet. Aber jetzt habe ich eine Frage: Könnte dieser i30-Heißflitzer eine Konkurrenz zum Veloster Turbo sein?

There is one thign i don't understand - what for is Veloster turbo in Europe? No chance against i30... And why i30 will not be truth hot hatch - with over 8 sec 0-100... max warmed hatch:)

is not a 3 door i30, just see the frame (2nd door) behind of the pilot door, same size than first door! and see a picture of the 3door Rio that hasn't 2nd door frame in the rear glass.
