A few days ago, we shared the first-ever sightings of the highly anticipated Hyundai Grandeur facelift, a mid-life update that surpasses the usual mid-cycle changes. This latest iteration of Hyundai’s flagship sedan has undergone a complete transformation, displaying a level of refinement and technological integration that is typically reserved for entirely new vehicle generations. Today, thanks to our colleagues at Healer TV, we have the opportunity to explore the new Grandeur’s interior, which has been spotted in detail, also in a striking new white/gray color.

Exterior Design: Refined Proportions and Futuristic Elegance

Since its debut in 1986, the Grandeur has been the benchmark for the domestic luxury sedan market. This facelift arrives approximately three years and five months after the seventh-generation launch in November 2022, redefining the “Premium Lounge” experience.

The New Grandeur’s exterior design balances dynamism with high-tech sophistication. By refining existing elements, Hyundai has achieved a more complete and balanced silhouette.

  • The “Shark Nose” Profile: The front features a longer hood and a pronounced “Shark Nose” shape. This is complemented by a radiator grille sporting a new mesh pattern, creating a bold, luxurious first impression.
  • Seamless Horizon Lamp: A thinner, bezel-less horizon lamp stretches across the front, doubling down on the vehicle’s futuristic identity.
  • Enhanced Dimensions: The overall length has increased by 15mm to 5,050mm, creating a more dynamic side profile and improving the car’s physical presence.
  • High-Tech Rear Aesthetics: The rear combination lamp is now slimmer, featuring a hidden turn signal integrated into the top garnish for a seamless look.
  • Artistic Color Palette: Hyundai introduces ‘Artistic Burgundy’ (available in Pearl or Matte), a color inspired by traditional Korean lacquerware, symbolizing the craftsmanship behind the vehicle.

Interior Design: An Innovative “Premium Lounge”

Inside, The New Grandeur shifts toward a high-tech, minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes passenger comfort and intuitive control.

Next-Generation Infotainment

The centerpiece is a massive 17-inch central display powered by ‘Pleos Connect’. Based on the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS), this system offers an immersive user experience. While the interface is digital, Hyundai has strategically placed physical buttons for main functions at the bottom of the screen to ensure driver safety and intuitive operation.

World-Class Comfort Features

  • Electric Air Vents: For the first time, air volume and direction are controlled directly via the display. This allows the physical air outlets to be hidden, resulting in a smoother, more luxurious dashboard.
  • Smart Vision Loop: Utilizing a transmittance control film, this innovative roof allows passengers to electrically adjust between transparent and opaque states, or even divide areas to customize the sense of openness.
  • Couch-Pattern Door Trim: Taking inspiration from home furniture, the door trims feature a “couch pattern” and soft indirect lighting, mimicking the tranquility of a high-end lounge.
  • Exquisite Materials: The interior is elevated with quilted patterns, knot piping, natural wood-textured garnish, and metal accents, blending modern tech with traditional motifs.
