2012년형 현대 i20 페이스리프트의 첫 스파이샷이 공개됐다. 스파이 포토그래퍼들은 이 2012 i20 프로토타입이 사진 속 초록색 대형 트럭에 실려 현대 유럽 센터 (뤼셀스하임) 테스트 시설로 운반되는 모습을 포착했다.
이 프로토타입은 짙은 위장막을 두른 5도어 해치백 스타일이지만, 새로운 전면부 디자인을 엿볼 수 있다. 업데이트된 현대 디자인 언어를 적용했으며, 더 둥근 헤드라이트가 다른 위치에 배치됐다.
후미등도 새로운 디자인으로 변경됐지만, 실내는 여전히 잘 가려져 있어 확인할 수 없었다. 2012년형 현대 i20 페이스리프트는 내년에 데뷔할 예정이다.

And about the i20's restyling, I'm sure it will look better than it does now and it will have a more different identity, stoping being similar to the Corsa. Anyways, having a restyling for the i20 is more than just okay, but what Hyundai needs is a brand new car to face the powerful concurrence in the European market, even old cars like Corsa or Punto Evo are above the i20.
