Today we have the first official pictures from Kia of its KX3 production version available for the China car maket. The China-only small turbochargered SUV was revealed a month ago in a concept form at the 2014 Guangzhou AutoShow.

The car now shows a two-tone blue-white paint. The KX3 have the same wheelbase of the Hyundai ix25 (2,570 mm). Compared with the concept, the production version shows new fog lights design

This Kia mini SUV use the same engines than his brother, with the only difference that is abailable with a 1.6 Turbo GDi engine delivering 200 hp. Optionally, this engine could be fitted with the latest 7-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission (DCT).

Probably also include in near future a family of diesel CRDi engines, from the U2 engine family, the 1.4 & 1.6 with 90 and 110 hp.

Looking at the pictures, the car looks like a small Sportage, using same style-designed taillights, fenders, but also has similarities between the lastest models from Citroen (front end).

Oh, oh oh. I wouldnt tell chinese products a junk. I have so many quality chinese low price products in the house that old getting europeans should get nervous, like some do nowadays. Take Kia as an example: Ten years ago no one in europe took asian KIA serious. Now the european carmakers are full of sweat at night. Ok the front design is maybe chinese taste but as KIA leads the project the rest has to be high quality. Asian products get more and more reliable, but as for cars KIA is my favourite brand except for this china only front.

I don´t thik the front design is bad. It is conceptually agressive just as the Juke was.

I would have integrated the led lights into the headlamps. That would have been great. Maybe an idea for the european model.

After you showed this front from the Cross GT, I didn't realize it even came from this concept. I agree, get rid of the fog lights.
