South Korean’s completely revamped Hyundai Elantra (known as Avante in its local market) compact sedan released last month sold over 10,000 units in October alone.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:9px;”]The Hyundai Elantra compact sedan is now on its 6th generation model and its available with a several new safety systems such as an automatic emergency breaking (AEB) system which helps avoid collisions or at least mitigate their effects and a stronger chassis.

Another safety systems available are High Beam Assist (HBA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) plus convenience features like the Smart Trunk, a system that automatically opens the trunk when the Smart Key is within the rear bumper sensing zone over 3 seconds, saving time and effort for the driver.

Several years ago, there were a number of domestic vehicles such as Hyundai’s Sonata and Grandeur sedans, and Kia’s K5 midsize sedan and Morning compact that sold over 10,000 units a month. But there were no more such popular vehicles since 2013 and only Hyundai’s latest LF Sonata midsize sedan achieved the feat last year.

The Avante (Hyundai Elantra for overseas) is one of the most popular models by a Korean company and the first to hit the 10 million mark in cumulative global sales.
