On January 16, Genesis unveiled detailed information about the facelifted GV70 Electrified and officially commenced sales. Initially launched in March 2022, this model is Genesis’ third EV following the G80 Electrified and GV60, combining luxury with powerful yet quiet driving performance.
This latest GV70 Electrified Model, revealed after nearly three years, embodies the brand’s design philosophy of “Athletic Elegance.” It boasts luxurious interior and exterior features with meticulous attention to detail.
Extended Range and Cutting-Edge EV Technology
Equipped with a fourth-generation 84kWh battery, the GV70 Electrified Model offers a driving range of up to 423km per charge (based on combined 19-inch wheels). Additionally, it incorporates Active Sound Design for a serene yet dynamic driving experience unique to luxury EVs.

- Battery: The 84kWh battery offers increased energy density, extending the range from 400km to 423km. Despite the larger battery, 350kW ultra-fast charging achieves 80% capacity in just 19 minutes.
- Innovative Features: A power-on mode allows HVAC operation and interior utilities without starting the vehicle. The motorized charging door with heating and lighting adds convenience during charging.

The GV70 Electrified Model is engineered for a quiet, dynamic ride:
- Highway Body Motion Control (HBC): Reduces vehicle movement during sudden acceleration or braking on highways.

Pricing and Availability
The GV70 Electrified Model starts at 75,3 million won ($59,487 USD or €54,969 EUR) after EV tax benefits. Additional subsidies may reduce the final purchase price.
Genesis is hosting a special exhibition from January 17 to January 26 at Genesis Suji, where visitors can experience the model’s design and EV technologies firsthand. Customers who sign a contract by February 14 and take delivery within the first half of the year can benefit from an early bird incentive covering their deposit.
