Die neue cee’d-Familie wird Anfang 2013 durch eine sportliche 3-Türer-Version — pro_cee’d – komplettiert. Heute veröffentlicht Kia die erste offizielle Skizze des neuen pro_cee’d.
Die Skizze zeigt die grundlegenden Merkmale des kommenden Dreitürers. Er übernimmt die Frontlinien der fünftürigen Schrägheckversion (Premiere auf dem Genfer Autosalon 2012), setzt aber an anderen Stellen eigene Akzente – vor allem an der unteren Karosserie und der C-Säule.
Tatsächlich entfallen 25 % des Absatzes der cee’d-Familie auf das Dreitürer-Modell. Benny Oeyen, Vice President Marketing und Produktplanung bei Kia Europe, hofft, dass dieser Anteil auch mit der neuen Generation erhalten bleibt. Zusätzlich zum aktuellen Angebot an Benzin- und CRDi-Motoren (von 90 bis 135 PS) für den neuen cee’d Fünftürer könnte später ein aufgeladener 1,6-Liter-Benziner mit T-GDi hinzukommen, der bis zu 201 PS leistet.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. For US-market, few automakers sold 3-door hatchback, like the Volkswagen Golf GTi, the only hatch with 3-door version in the US it's more usual see 3-door coupes, Honda Civic Coupe, Elantra Coupe, Scion tC and the hatch's usually sold with 5-door.
