Genesis Unveils Enhanced X Gran Convertible Concepts

Genesis X Gran Convertible

Genesis keeps playing with its latest design philosophy. After releasing one concept after another without a production version, it now looks like they have decided to update their concept cars to be closer to production with every new iteration. While the company confirmed the production of the Magma GT concept, many people wondered why they didn't release the X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible—both based on the G90—first. Genesis hasn't confirmed anything about these models, but the luxury carmaker recently revealed an updated X Gran Convertible on behalf of Le Mans with a more pronounced expression of their Magma design.

Dual Personalities of Genesis Luxury: Liquid Titanium & Midnight Teal

The enhanced concept models explore a more open, emotional, and human interpretation of luxury. This is masterfully achieved through distinct colorways and material selections that represent two sides of the same sophisticated coin:

  • The Dynamic Edge (Liquid Titanium): Finished in a striking Liquid Titanium exterior, this model expresses the raw, dynamic qualities of the racing environment. Its GMR-inspired colorway visually anchors the vehicle to high-performance motorsport heritage.

  • The Sophisticated Retreat (Midnight Teal): Embodying a calmer, more serene palette, the second model features a stunning Midnight Teal finish. The interior is complemented by custom tartan-inspired textiles, creating a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere of quiet luxury.

Through these designs, racing energy, hospitality, elegance, and quiet refinement coexist seamlessly.

A Star-Studded Lineup at the Wheel

Genesis continues to bridge the gap between track performance and road-going elegance. The X Gran Convertible Concepts will be driven by two legendary names in motorsport, highlighting the brand's serious performance credentials:

  • Jacky Ickx: Legendary racing icon, Genesis brand ambassador, and race advisor.

  • Jamie Chadwick: Renowned racing talent, reserve driver, and Genesis Magma Racing trajectory driver.

"These enhanced concept models highlight the brand’s evolving design identity, bringing the emotional thrill of the racetrack into an approachable, ultra-luxurious atmosphere."

Elevating the Magma Design Philosophy

This latest design study proves that Genesis is not content with standard luxury conventions. By pushing the boundaries of the Magma design language, Genesis is carving out a unique niche where high-octane motorsport energy meets the hospitality and comfort of a premium grand tourer.

As these concepts take the stage, they signal an exciting future for Genesis—one where performance, human-centric design, and progressive luxury merge into an unforgettable driving experience.
