Hyundai has officially confirmed that the Genesis G90 facelift will launch in December. During its third-quarter 2026 earnings conference call on October 29, the company said it will speed up new-model launches in the fourth quarter to make the most of the year-end peak season, with the refreshed G90 flagship sedan closing out the year in South Korea.
Until now, the December date came from industry reports (everything we know about the G90 facelift). Hearing it from Hyundai itself makes it official.
What To Expect From The G90 Facelift
The latest spy photos show the production body under a thin camouflage wrap (G90 facelift spied in light camouflage). Here is what we know so far:
Front: an illuminated Crest grille inspired by the GV90, with slim two-line headlights.
Rear: new two-line LED taillights.
Interior: a coachbuilt-style 3-dial digital cluster and a wide Pleos display.
Technology: it is set to be Korea's first production car with Level 3 autonomous driving (Level 3 confirmed).

Hyundai And Genesis Q4 Launches In Korea
The G90 is not the only new model on the way. Hyundai said customers are asking more about new cars, and listed the models coming to Korea:
All-new Hyundai Tucson: the fifth generation, which set a record with over 15,000 pre-orders on its first day (record pre-orders).
Hyundai Avante Hybrid: the hybrid version of the new Avante, which is 10% more efficient than before despite being bigger (Avante Hybrid efficiency).
Genesis GV90: the brand's new flagship electric SUV (GV90 Tech Day, expected pricing).
Genesis G80 Hybrid: the first hybrid version of Genesis's core luxury sedan (G80 Hybrid testing).
Genesis G90 facelift: in December.
New Models For North America And Europe
Outside Korea, Hyundai is building a product line-up tailored to each market, with hybrids and electric cars at the center:
North America: the all-new Tucson and the Genesis GV80 Hybrid, already on sale in Korea (GV80 Hybrid launched).
Europe: after the IONIQ 3 (IONIQ 3 production in Turkey), the Europe-focused Tucson and the all-new Bayon (Bayon revealed in Paris).
How Hyundai Sets Its Prices
Hyundai also answered questions about pricing, a hot topic after the price increases on the new Avante and Tucson (is the new Tucson getting too expensive?). The company said that besides costs and rival models, it runs consumer surveys before launch to check whether buyers will accept the price.
Our Take
A December launch makes the G90 facelift Hyundai Motor Group's big closing act of 2026, right after the GV90. Two flagships in a few weeks is a clear statement for Genesis. As usual, Korea comes first, and the US version should follow later, most likely as a 2028 model.
