Der überarbeitete Kia cee’d wurde erstmals bei Erprobungsfahrten nahe des Polarkreises fotografiert.
Die 2012 eingeführte zweite Generation des cee’d wurde in Europa für den europäischen Markt entwickelt und konstruiert. Sie ist mit einer Auswahl an MPi- und GDi-Benzinmotoren sowie CRDi-Dieselmotoren erhältlich. Zudem gibt es eine sportliche GT-Baureihe mit dem 1.6 T-GDi, der 201 PS leistet.
Die Erlkönigfotos erlauben keine großen Unterschiede zum aktuellen Modell zu erkennen, aber wir sehen eine andere Front- und Heckschürze sowie ein neues Design für die Nebelscheinwerfer. Der cee’d ist bereits recht vollständig mit Schutzfolie abgedeckt, sodass wir nicht alle Details erkennen können.
Auch zur Motorenpalette gibt es keine Hinweise. Sie könnte weiterhin das aktuelle Angebot nutzen und einen neuen 1.0 Kappa TCi-Dreizylinder-Turbobenziner mit 106 PS sowie eine breitere Verfügbarkeit des 7-Gang-Doppelkupplungsgetriebes (DCT) zunächst für Dieselmotoren einführen. Ein 1.2 T-GDi mit 130 PS wird erwartet.

It seems that 2015 (and surely upcoming years) will be KIAs Year. So many new models , facelifts , high quality interiors, petrol (and diesel) turbo engines, electric and hydrogene transmissions at the same time. That shows that the Asian Tiger Attack has begun. I knew it from the day that i cared for KIA. Of course it will still take a little time but then they will make it to the top, for the passion of building quality cars and customers satisfaction.
Any news on the Pro Cee'd GT and Cee'd GT being fitted with the 7 speed DCT transmission with the update? Manual only Cee'd GT models is killing the car sales success in markets outside of Europe where manuals sell in tiny numbers compared to automatics.
