Après que Hyundai a lancé hier la 7e génération d'Elantra et d'Elantra Hybrid (connue sous le nom d'Avante en Corée du Sud), il est temps de découvrir à quoi pourrait ressembler la version N confirmée de la marque performance Hyundai grâce à ces images de rendu.
Que savons-nous jusqu'à présent ?
Après un an de pause, la marque performance Hyundai N est de retour et, malgré ce qu'elle avait initialement annoncé et ce qu'elle a fait avec la Sonata (en proposant une N-Line plutôt qu'une N), nous avons découvert que Hyundai travaille déjà sur une variante haute performance de sa nouvelle berline intermédiaire.
La 7e génération d'Avante CN7 (nom local de l'Elantra en Corée du Sud) aura finalement à la fois des variantes N-Line et N. Alors que nous pensions ne voir qu'une variante N-Line, comme ce fut le cas avec la Sonata DN8, un nouveau rapport indique que la N-Line remplacera l'ancienne Avante Sport.
Le nouveau modèle N-Line aura un design extérieur sportif, mais pas les performances de conduite du modèle N. La future Avante N sera une véritable N avec un moteur turbo essence 2.0 litres, au lieu d'un 1.6 Turbo, et pas seulement une N dans la forme.
Elle sera équipée d'un moteur turbo essence 2.0 litres développant une puissance maximale de 275 chevaux et un couple maximal de 36 kg.m, comme la Veloster N ou l'i30 N, et devrait être associée à une boîte manuelle à 6 rapports et une DCT à 8 rapports.
L'Avante N est une berline quatre portes à part entière et devrait être un modèle polyvalent et haute performance, pouvant être utilisé comme voiture quotidienne pour un usage courant et pour des sessions de conduite sur circuit le week-end, selon Albert Biermann, directeur de la R&D du groupe Hyundai Motor.

Hyundai (not genesis) needs a RWD based AWD coupe and sedan combo with a 430hp 3.5L Hybrid Twin Turbo V6 setup with a longitudinal based engine layout and name the TIburon and Azera. The Tiburon should return larger than what is was before based on the same chassis as the Kia Stinger/G70/G80 with the N-Performance version featuring the 430hp 3.5L Hybrid Twin Turbo V6 with the Hybrid part coming from the new Getrag Dual Clutch Electric Hybrid Transmission, an E-LSD, a high performance AWD system, Brembo brakes, N-performance aerodynamic upgrades such as under body air panels and diffusers, specific N-performance wheels, larger rear duckbill spoiler with gurney flap, vortex generators, front lip spoiler, performance oriented interior with comfortable Recaro seating, alcantara steering wheel, comfortable 2+2 seating, etc. The car should be around the size of a sonata but with two doors instead of four.
