After so many pictures of many different i30 models, we finally get to see the production vehicle of the new i30 N Performance model made with the help of Albert Biermann.

The i30 N Performance model is the first vehicle of a series of cars that will be coming from Hyundai N Performance  sub brand. This might not be the most powerful model in its class but it will the most fun to drive, mentioned Albert Biermann.

The powertrain choosen for this model will be the 2.0 Turbo model with power output of 240-260 hp, having the option of two versions, the standard and performance package.

Some of the changes you can expect compare to the regular i30, will be higher horsepower, more aggressive body kit, more precise and faster gearshift, stiffer engine and transmission mounts, more sensitive and precise mechanical power steering wheel, ABS tuned along with the high Performance tires, modified suspension (independent rear suspension we hope), new front axle knuckle for sharper turn-in plus bigger brakes. It’s a big list of goodies for this new i30 and it’s expected.

The transmission paired with the 2.0 Turbo will be the six-speed manual gearbox with a possible direct-shift autobox coming later on, if Hyundai can make it sporty enough according to Biermann.

As we heard the latest video released by Hyundai and now confirmed by our spy photographer, this i30 N will have a very mean exhaust tone and this time it’s not reproduce by the radio.

Inside the the heavy camouflage we see at the bottom the design of the body kit with the addition of the air intakes, wider side sills and rear bumper with two big exhaust tips. You can also expect a bigger spoiler as well as bigger wheels and wider tires to complete the N Performance deal.

The i30 is set for a debut the end of 2017. Let us know your thoughts

All Hyundai & Kia parts come from the same factory. They cross over parts for testing purposes, just like how the KIa GT mule is using Genesis Coupe rims.

    240-260 hp ...performance...Where?

Apples to oranges. Its like comparing your Optima to a Golf GTi. The i30N is not aiming to have the most horsepower in its class, but rather to be the most fun to drive.

KT is correct, you are comparing 2 different cars class. And Albert Biermann did mention, this i30 N is not mean for high power but fun to drive. Some people like to go stright and some others in curves. I hope I can test this car at an autocross course.

Stop with the nonsense..you can beef up any of these suspensions for handling..You need true HP and torque..What are you going to do drift around your neighborhood..Biggest failure is the BRZ, the FRS..no balls..that's why even the 370z is loosing customers..people want hp and handling

    no he's not..simple rice burner..kids car.

I guess you're forgetting that the i30N is coming initially as a FWD hot hatch to go against a GTI and Focus ST. You are judging hp figures that aren't even official, just something that is shown from a teaser video.

compare to a VW GTI they have a lot to accomplish, maybe in 20 years to be as fun as a GTI
