수많은 i30 모델의 사진이 공개된 후, 드디어 알버트 비어만의 도움으로 제작된 새로운 i30 N 퍼포먼스 모델의 양산형을 볼 수 있게 됐다.
i30 N 퍼포먼스 모델은 현대 N 퍼포먼스 서브 브랜드에서 출시될 일련의 차량 중 첫 번째 모델이다. 알버트 비어만은 이 모델이 동급에서 가장 강력하지는 않을 수 있지만, 운전하는 재미는 가장 뛰어날 것이라고 언급했다.
이 모델에 선택된 파워트레인은 2.0 터보 엔진으로, 출력은 240~260마력이며 표준형과 퍼포먼스 패키지의 두 가지 버전으로 제공된다.
일반 i30와 비교해 기대할 수 있는 변화로는 더 높은 마력, 더 공격적인 바디킷, 더 정밀하고 빠른 변속, 더 단단한 엔진 및 변속기 마운트, 더 민감하고 정밀한 기계식 파워 스티어링 휠, 고성능 타이어에 맞춰 조정된 ABS, 개선된 서스펜션(독립 리어 서스펜션 기대), 더 날카로운 코너링을 위한 새로운 프론트 액슬 너클, 그리고 더 큰 브레이크 등이 있다. 이 새로운 i30를 위한 많은 개선 사항이며, 당연한 것이다.
2.0 터보와 짝을 이루는 변속기는 6단 수동 기어박스이며, 비어만에 따르면 현대가 충분히 스포티하게 만들 수 있다면 추후 DCT가 추가될 가능성도 있다.
현대가 공개한 최신 영상과 스파이 사진작가의 확인에 따르면, 이 i30 N은 매우 공격적인 배기음을 가지며 이번에는 라디오를 통해 재생되는 것이 아니다.
두꺼운 위장 아래에서 바디킷의 디자인, 에어 인테이크, 더 넓은 사이드 실, 그리고 두 개의 큰 배기 팁이 있는 리어 범퍼를 볼 수 있다. 또한 N 퍼포먼스 패키지를 완성하기 위해 더 큰 스포일러와 더 큰 휠, 더 넓은 타이어도 기대할 수 있다.

Apples to oranges. Its like comparing your Optima to a Golf GTi. The i30N is not aiming to have the most horsepower in its class, but rather to be the most fun to drive.
KT is correct, you are comparing 2 different cars class. And Albert Biermann did mention, this i30 N is not mean for high power but fun to drive. Some people like to go stright and some others in curves. I hope I can test this car at an autocross course.
Stop with the nonsense..you can beef up any of these suspensions for handling..You need true HP and torque..What are you going to do drift around your neighborhood..Biggest failure is the BRZ, the FRS..no balls..that's why even the 370z is loosing customers..people want hp and handling

I guess you're forgetting that the i30N is coming initially as a FWD hot hatch to go against a GTI and Focus ST. You are judging hp figures that aren't even official, just something that is shown from a teaser video.
compare to a VW GTI they have a lot to accomplish, maybe in 20 years to be as fun as a GTI
