Today we have the first official pictures of the Kia KX3 production version spotted in China, while Kia’s China-only small turbochargered SUV revealed a month ago at the 2014 Guangzhou AutoShow.
Ready to debut during 2015 we don’t have more details from the car apart that is codenamed as KC. The KX3 have the same wheelbase of the Hyundai ix25 (2,570 mm).
This Kia mini SUV use the same engines than his brother, with the only difference than from the launch will be abailable with a 1.6 Turbo GDi engine delivering 201 hp. Optionally, this engine could be fitted with the latest 7-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission (DCT).
Probably also include in near future a family of diesel CRDi engines, from the U2 engine family, the 1.4 & 1.6 with 90 and 110 hp.
Looking at the pictures, the car looks like a small Sportage, using same style-designed taillights, fenders. The car will be available only in China at the launch. Stay tuned for more details soon!

Well, luckily this car is only created by Donfeng Yueda-Kia, brand's chinese joint venture, so this car will be available only in China. For european and US-markets, Kia is developing another small-SUV, plus a dedicated small and Hybrid SUV
It won't sell over here. Ford made the same mistake with Eco Sport. Made for India and South America in mind, they thought they could easily sell it in Europe. HUGE mistake. K4 is selling OK in China. So I wouldn't be surprised if KX3 became popular.
