2018 Hyundai Veloster is finally here and we might be seeing the new generation, lets find out if Hyundai listened to all their car enthusiasts request.

[ads id=”0″ style=”float:left;padding:6px;”]The Veloster was first unveiled at the 2011 Dretroit Autoshow later coming on sale at their domestic market by March of 2011, followed up by North America in  the fall of the same year. The Veloster replaced the discontinued Hyundai Tiburon after the Hyundai Genesis Coupe came on market 2 years before.

We can see the Veloster still have the same 3 doors configuration due to the dimesions of the doors, The driver side door still larger and even though the camouflage is covering the back might just be to give a different appearance. Also on this particular model its using the design of wheels as the previous generation,

Now the front, even tho is heavily camouflage we can tell the new cascading grille has made it to the new Veloster. The new grille will be very wide and, following its brother i30, there might not be a second grille at the bottom but just one big grille. At the bottom of the grille we see there is a red line that seems to go all across the bottom with a small division in the middle. The headlights seems to have 2 projectors and the turn signal light in the inner side of the headlight.

At the back, Hyundai decided to keep the exhaust at the middle, just like the previous generation with the twin pipe but this time without a bezel surrounding the pipes. Another thing we notice is the taillights has a new shape, it seems to be wider and not as tall as the previous one.

Unfortunately there isnt much to see on the interior since the camouflage is convering the dashboard.

When it comes to powertrain we dont have any details about it but following Hyundai’s trend we might find the 1.6T and possibly the 1.4T engine.

The 2018 Hyundai Veloster seems to be more of big facelift instead of complete new make over. We’ll keep an eye for new details.
