The Genesis GV60 Magma Concept made a remarkable global dynamic debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. This debut marks the first time a Magma model has been showcased in action since the high-performance program’s official launch in March. Led by racing legend and Genesis Brand Partner Jacky Ickx, the GV60 Magma impressed on the Goodwood hillclimb, setting the stage for its forthcoming production and sales launch.

Exciting Dynamic Debuts
The GV60 Magma Concept was one of several Genesis vehicles showcased at Goodwood. Other notable debuts included the Genesis G80 EV Magma Concept and the Genesis G70 Track Taxi Nordschleife, designed for passenger rides at Germany’s Nürburgring track.
The GV60 Magma Concept, first unveiled at Genesis House New York on March 25, represents the brand’s commitment to high performance. The model enhances the design and performance of the existing Genesis GV60 with improved battery and motor technology, and meticulous attention to chassis, aerodynamics, and thermodynamics. The car’s widened and lowered stance provides better stability and a lower center of gravity, essential for sporty driving.
Specialized Features of Magma Models
Production models within the Genesis Magma program will boast unique features to enhance sporty driving while ensuring comfort. These include a wider and lower body design, exclusive chassis and suspension components, and a Magma-exclusive sound system. Additionally, the new human-machine interface (HMI) will prioritize essential data, providing an immersive driving experience.
Each Magma vehicle will embody three fundamental attributes:

Genesis at Goodwood: A Legacy of Excellence
Genesis has been an official partner of the Goodwood Festival for four years, consistently captivating audiences with exciting vehicle showcases. This year’s Genesis stand, the largest yet, features a two-story installation inspired by the “Aesthetics of Boundaries” design concept. Visitors can explore the GV60 Magma Concept, G80 Magma Special, and X Gran Berlinetta Concept on the first floor, while production vehicles like the GV60, Electrified GV70, and Electrified G80 are displayed on the second floor.
Jacky Ickx, a six-time Le Mans winner, is scheduled to hold autograph signing events at the Genesis Stand, offering fans a chance to engage with the racing icon. These events will take place at 4pm on Thursday, 2pm on Friday, and 10:30am on Saturday.
Throughout the festival, the GV60 Magma Concept, G80 EV Magma Concept, G70 Track Taxi Nordschleife, and GV80 Coupe Concept will demonstrate their prowess on the hillclimb. For the first time, Genesis will also compete in the Shootout Sunday with the GV60 Magma Concept, showcasing its impressive driving capabilities.
