Hyundai Motor America, the most fuel efficient automaker in the U.S., today announced an all-time April sales record of 62,264 units, up 1 percent over last year’s all-time April record, and the second best sales month in company history after last month’s all-time record. Hyundai Motor CEO says: Sonata facelift in 2014, revamped Genesis in 2013.
Hyundai Motor Company plans to launch a revamped version of its flagship Sonata sedan in 2014, its chief executive Kim Choon-ho told Reuters on Wednesday. The latest version of the mid-sized sedan was launched in September 2009 in South Korea and early 2010 in the United States.

Genesis AWD Model Likely; No Plans for Premium Brand.
Do you remember few days ago when we are talking about the Genesis Sub-brand? Well, Hyundai U.S. CEO John Krafcik says the korean automaker still would like to offer an all-wheel-drive version of its Genesis near-luxury sedan, but a premium brand is a non-starter, its top U.S. executive says. “We believe we should have AWD on the next Genesis platform.”

Hyundai may market its premium vehicles under a Genesis sub-brand to further distinguish its upscale cars from its mainstream vehicles, the brand’s U.S. sales boss said.

Scooped: 2013 Kia K9 caught testing in Europe.
A prototype for the upcoming 2013 Kia K9 has been caught while doing some testing with winter conditions in Europe. The flagship model of the brand will be the spiritual successor to the Opirus/Amanti that finished production in 2010.
