In the UK, these cars are generally considered to be for old people only. I don’t think it helps that there are so few of this type of vehicle on the market; unlike Japan, of course, where cars like this are plentiful.
Personally, I’d like to see more kei-style cars in the UK, and, being narrow and with many having sliding side doors, I imagine they’d be particularly popular in cities. My favourites are the Suzuki Alto Lapin, Daihatsu Tanto and Move Conte; all examples of interesting and neat design.
Won’t be coming to the USA that’s for sure. For know it’s KDM only.
It’s still too small for Americans to consider it a real car. It needs 100 HP or more too.
There are some Americans who believe it or not still consider Accent and Rio too small to be real cars.
