The 2012 Hyundai Elantra Coupe will slot in between the Veloster and Genesis Coupe, this last, ready for receive facelift and new features.

The Elantra Coupe will share its platform and complete powertrain technology with sedan version, you can expect the model to adopt the 1.8 MPI with 148 horsepower engine and six speed automatic gearbox from the Elantra sedan. Actually, we like dreaming about the 1.6 GDi Turbo with 208 horsepower, but, for the moment, not confirmed yet. Hyundai plans for Elantra Coupe are to make its official in US market debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.

It is based on the european version of the elantra sedan. If you are in search of a reliable trouble free car then this a good choice.
