Scooped: Mysterious supercharged Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

by Sep 26, 2011All News, Hyundai, Spy Shots0 comments

Hyundai seems to still not sure to mount the Tau V8 GDI on the 2013 Genesis Coupe. Judging by the spy photos, the korean automaker, is simply going to stick with its 3.8-liter V6 as the range-topping engine, although, with a bit of supercharged force added on.

The supercharger should help push the standard 3.8-liter output of 306 horsepower (333 hp on the Genesis Sedan thanks to GDi technology) to reach the Mustang GT500. We know nothing more about this engine, but Kia recently presented on the “GT” Sports Sedan Concept a new 3.3 Turbo GDi with 395 hp. Will keep you informed!
